Sanofi, Audion in hearing loss partnership

Sanofi (Euronext:SAN, NYSE:SNY) partnered with Audion Therapeutics BV (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) to discover and develop small molecule therapeutics to treat hearing loss. The therapeutics will target endogenous progenitor cells in the inner ear to stimulate their differentiation into auditory sensory hair cells. Sanofi will have an option to license rights to compounds developed under the two-year deal. Terms were not disclosed. ...
