BGI subsidiary planning IPO

Sequencing company BGI (Shenzhen, China) said it is "working on" an IPO, but declined to disclose details. According to several media outlets, BGI's BGI Tech Solutions Co. Ltd. subsidiary is seeking to list in Hong Kong and raise about $400 million in the offering. BGI (formerly Beijing Genomics Institute) comprises both not-for-profit research institutes and commercial units for sequencing applications.
