PolyPid's D round brings in $22M

PolyPid Ltd. (Petach Tikva, Israel) said it raised $22 million in a series D financing co-led by new investor Shavit Capital and existing investor Aurum Ventures. Chaim Hurvitz, who will now head PolyPid's board, and undisclosed other existing shareholders also participated.
PolyPid expects data in 2017 from its confirmatory European trial of BonyPid to treat severe open tibia fractures. It is also planning a Phase III study of D-PLEX to prevent postcardiac surgery sternal infections. ...
