Banyan reports 97.6% sensitivity for TBI diagnostic

Banyan Biomarkers Inc. (Alachua, Fl.) said data from the ALERT-TBI study showed that its blood-based diagnostic Banyan BTI had 97.6% sensitivity and a 99.6% negative predictive value (NPV) for detecting intracranial injury to rule out the need for a head CT scan in adults with suspected traumatic brain injury (TBI).
