Hoechst Marion Roussel researchers and colleagues published in Science that DARPP-32 (dopamine and AMP-regulated phosphoprotein) plays a critical role in regulating dopamine neurotransmission. DARPP-32 is enriched in neurons that respond to dopamine, and DARPP-32's ability to inhibit protein phosphatases is stimulated by dopamine. ...
