Biosource researchers and colleagues published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences the production in plants of single-chain Fv antibody fragments that contain an epitope derived from the immunoglobulin produced by a mouse B cell lymphoma cell line.

Mice vaccinated with the fragments produced anti-idiotype antibodies that target the Fv fragment epitope and thus also target the lymphoma immunoglobulin, and such mice were protected against challenge by the corresponding lymphoma tumor. ...
