Alexandria opens LaunchLabs

Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. (NYSE:ARE) announced the opening of Alexandria LaunchLabs in New York City and named the first 13 companies in residence. LaunchLabs is designed to provide start-ups with office space, equipment, amenities and access to investment capital.

Eight of the 13 life sciences companies are focused on therapeutics. The group includes four cancer companies, including aratinga.bio (San Francisco, Calif.), Chimeron Bio (New York, N.Y.), Hookipa Biotech AG (Vienna, Austria) and ENB Therapeutics (New York, N.Y.). ...
