AMR Centre, Skolkovo targeting antimicrobial resistance

The Antimicrobial Resistance Centre (Macclesfield, U.K.) and the Skolkovo Foundation (Moscow, Russia) announced a collaboration to identify and fund preclinical projects in Russia to develop therapies and diagnostics to combat antimicrobial resistance.

The AMR Centre will assist Skolkovo-backed small and medium enterprises as they submit applications for international funding, including from the Combating Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria Biopharmaceutical Accelerator (CARB-X). Launched in 2016, CARB-X invests in therapeutics, vaccines and devices as they move toward clinical testing.
