Thermogenesis, Asahi Kasei Medical sales and marketing update

Asahi exercised its 2010 option to acquire ThermoGenesis' CryoSeal Fibrin Sealant System for $2 million in cash. The CryoSeal System is an automated system to prepare an autologous hemostatic surgical sealant from a patient's own blood or from a donor. CryoSeal is approved in the U.S. for use as an adjunct for hemostasis in liver resection surgeries. The system has CE Mark approval in the EU and is approved in Japan.
