Chinese CAR T play JW raises $90M series A

Cell therapy company JW Therapeutics (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China) raised $90 million on March 7 in a series A round led by Temasek, Sequoia Capital China and Yuanming Capital. Fellow new investors Oriza Seed Capital, Yipu Capital, AVICT Global Holdings, Shiyu Capital and LVC Capital Fund also participated, as did existing investors WuXi AppTec Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China) and Juno Therapeutics Inc., which Celgene Corp. (NASDAQ:CELG) acquired.
