Shelf life? Not to worry

Inex Pharmaceuticals Corp. has a pipeline populated with liposome-encapsulated products, so last week's decision by GlaxoSmithKline plc to terminate a deal for INX-0076 liposomal topotecan due to manufacturing issues could raise worries. But Inex says the setback has no implications for other products using its Transmembrane Carrier System (TCS).

The problem that seems to have sidelined INX-0076 - the pharma company's inability to lyophilize the product to lengthen its shelf life - is one that IEX maintains it need not tackle, as its other products have a long enough shelf life. ...
