The La Jolla, Calif., company reported on two trials, finding improved wound closure in a pilot trial in pressure ulcers, and reduction in recurrence of skin ulcers in patients from previously reported trials.

The pilot trial in 50 patients with pressure ulcers tested three dosing regimens. Complete healing was achieved in 46 percent of patients who received two pieces of the skin product every two weeks, for a total of eight pieces. The control group's ulcers healed at a rate of 25 percent over the 12-week evaluation. ...
