INCY settled a suit against GLGC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California alleging infringement of U.S. Patents Nos. 5,716,785, 5,891,636 and 6,023,659 (see BioCentury, Aug. 21, 2000). GLGC will receive a non-exclusive license to practice the technology described in the patents. Patents '785 and '636 cover a non-PCR-based RNA amplification approach and patent '659 covers a database system for storing biomolecular sequence information. INCY also granted GLGC a license to U.S. Patent No. 5,807,522 covering methods for fabricating gene expression microarrays. ...
