TSI (Milford, Mass.), a subsidiary of Genzyme Transgenics Corp. (GZTC) which provides biopharmaceutical testing services, reported prevention of AIDS in monkeys given the SIV vaccine.
As presented at the meeting of the National Cooperative Vaccine Discovery Group for AIDS in Reston, Va., rhesus monkeys were protected against exposure to an amount of wild-type SIV that otherwise would have been fatal. No adverse reactions were seen. ...
