Recombinant influenza vaccine expressed by baculovirus-infected moth cells data

A trial in 127 volunteers showed the recombinant flu vaccine made by MicroGeneSys (Meriden, Conn.) is at least as effective as current vaccine and is less likely to give pain after injection.

As published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, the recombinant hemagglutinin vaccine produced neutralizing antibodies in amounts equivalent to or higher than a commercial preparation, with less local reaction. ...
