Vivus, Express Scripts sales and marketing update

Vivus said obesity drug Qsymia phentermine/topiramate was added to the national formulary for Express Scripts' Medco Health Solutions Inc. subsidiary, with a co-pay of about $50-$60 for a monthly prescription. In addition, the Veterans Administration national formulary added criteria for use for Qsymia, and eligible veterans will have a co-pay of $9 per month. Express Scripts added Qsymia to its national pharmacy formulary last December as a Tier 3 drug, with a co-pay of $50-60 per month.
