Qiagen, Agilent, Daiichi Pharmaceutical, University of Washington deal

QIA subsidiary Qiagen Genomics Inc. (Seattle, Wash.) and A will co-promote A’s liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry with Qiagen Genomics’s Masscode technology for SNP genotyping. The companies also will develop QIA’s Masscode tag chemistry and mass spectrometry instrumentation solutions for SNP discovery, proteomics and other applications.

Separately, the university’s school of pharmacy will use Masscode for high throughput SNP genotyping of cytochrome P450 enzymes. Qiagen Genomics has exclusive rights to negotiate with the university for any new invention resulting from the university’s use of Masscode in its P450 program. ...
