Adipose-derived regenerative cells: Pilot trial additional data

Additional data from the double-blind, dose-escalation, European PRECISE pilot trial in 27 patients with chronic myocardial ischemia showed that ADRCs injected directly into the ischemic regions of the heart sustained significant improvements in maximum oxygen consumption from baseline at 18 months vs. placebo (0.3 mL/kg/min increase vs. 4.1 mL/kg/min decrease, p<0.05). ADRCs also sustained significant improvements in aerobic capacity from baseline at 18 months as measured by metabolic equivalents (METS) vs. placebo (0.07 point increase vs. 1.17 point decrease, p<0.05).
