Insulin endocrine data

Researchers from the center reported data from a 13-year registry linkage analysis of the total Danish population, currently 5.5 million people, investigating the known association between diabetes, insulin use and cancer. The researchers said the data confirm the association between diabetes and cancer, but indicate that diabetes does not cause cancer in itself. The increased risk of cancer was most pronounced in people using insulin and was highest at the start of insulin treatment and decreased over time. The researchers did say that linkage studies cannot separate the effect of shared risk factors and the biological effect of insulin, and therefore cannot prove or disprove a causal link between insulin and cancer. ...
