First life sciences IPO filing of 2012 by diagnostics play Cancer Genetics

Cancer Genetics Inc. became the first life sciences company to file for an IPO in the New Year. The diagnostics company, which is seeking to raise up to $50 million, develops DNA probes using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and microarrays using comparative genomic hybridization.
