Group identifies S6K1 as potential target for CNS injury

In a paper published in the Journal of Neuroscience, researchers at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and colleagues showed that targeting ribosomal protein S6 kinase 70kDa polypeptide 1 (RPS6KB1; S6K1) could help treat CNS injuries by promoting neuronal regeneration.
