Mouse model herds

With the publication of its first set of data, the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) has demonstrated it's making strides toward generating and characterizing the phenotypes of knockout models corresponding to the entire mouse genome -- and the results provide hundreds of new disease models.

IMPC was founded in 2011 on the work of its predecessor organization, the International Knockout Mouse Consortium, which focused on developing mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) lines.
