J.P. Morgan Asia investment chairman steps down

Chairman of Asia Pacific Investment Banking for J.P. Morgan Brian Gu has stepped down, a J.P. Morgan spokesperson confirmed. Gu is now vice chairman and president of Chinese electric vehicle company Xiaopeng Guangzhou Automobile Technology Co. Ltd. (Guangzhou, China).
During Gu's tenure at J.P. Morgan, the company was an underwriter in the $172.5 million IPO of Chinese biotech Zai Lab Ltd. (NASDAQ:ZLAB) (see BioCentury, Sept. 22, 2017)...
