Verana Health raises $30M series C

Digital health company Verana Health Inc. (San Francisco, Calif.) raised $30 million on July 31 in a series C round led by new investor GV. Existing investors Biomatics Capital, Brook Byers, GE Ventures and Lagunita Biosciences also participated.
The company also said Tuesday it hired Miki Kapoor as president and CEO. He succeeds Doug Foster, who will become Verana's chief strategy officer. Kapoor was CEO at the Tea Leaves Health LLC subsidiary of Welltok Inc. (Denver, Colo.)...
