Inhibiting FASL for ischemic stroke

Mouse studies suggest inhibiting FASL could help treat ischemic stroke. In a mouse model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO)-induced stroke, an anti-FASL mAb decreased ischemic brain injury and levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the serum compared with a control IgG. Next steps could include testing the anti-FASL mAb in other stroke models...
