Liver cell therapy company Promethera grows Asian investor base with D round

Belgian company Promethera added new Japanese and Korean investors in its series D round Monday, as part of its focus on growing its Asia network to leverage the "openness" to stem cell therapies in the region.

Promethera Biosciences S.A. (Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium) raised €29.7 million ($33.2 million) in the second and final close of its series D, bringing its total to €39.7 million ($44.4 million).
