Karo Bio names Bengtsson acting CEO

Karo Bio AB (SSE:KARO) said on Tuesday its board appointed Per Bengtsson, a newly elected director, as acting president and CEO. He replaces Fredrik Lindgren, who stepped down on Monday. Chairman Goran Wessman said the board will make a decision on a permanent replacement in the coming months (see BioCentury Extra, May 23).

Bengtsson, former CEO of Probi AB (SSE:PROB), joined Karo Bio's board this month after Karo Bio shareholders elected a new chairman and board at the company's annual meeting. The new slate was proposed by shareholder Jan Lundberg, who represented a group of shareholders that own 38% of Karo Bio's shares (see BioCentury, May 16). ...
