Pearl polishes off C round with $54 million

Pearl Therapeutics Inc. (Redwood City, Calif.) raised an additional $54 million in a series C round, bringing the total raised in the round to $69 million. Vatera Healthcare Partners led the round. Existing investors Clarus; New Leaf; and 5AM participated. In February, Pearl raised $15 million through a convertible loan facility, which converted to equity at the closing of the series C round.
