Life Technologies to acquire Ion Torrent

Life Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:LIFE) will acquire DNA sequencing company Ion Torrent Systems Inc. (Guilford, Conn.) for $375 million in cash and stock, plus potential milestone payments of $350 million in cash and stock.
