Aspreva raises $53 million

Aspreva raised $53 million in a series A round led by Sprout Group. Other investors included InterWest; HBM Partners; Thomas Weisel Healthcare Ventures; BioAsia Investments; and Axiom Venture Partners. Aspreva (Victoria, B.C.) issued an additional $4.2 million of series A stock to convert previously issued debt. BMO Nesbitt Burns and Harris Nesbitt served as advisors and placement agents in the financing. ...
