Human Genome Sciences deal

Under a letter of intent, the human gene sequence database generated with SmithKline and The Institute for Genomic Research, which is affiliated with HGSI, would be made available to Takeda. In addition, HGSI will offer Takeda an option to develop and market a limited number of HGSI products in Japan, for which Takeda will pay HGSI an option fee in addition to future milestone payments and royalties.
