Plavix clopidogrel: Marketed

Researchers from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) reported in the New England Journal of Medicine that starting clopidogrel treatment early and continuing it long-term reduced the risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular death by 20% in patients with acute coronary syndrome (p<0.001). The international CURE (clopidogrel in unstable angina to prevent recurrent ischemic events) trial was a double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 12,562 patients. ...
