President-elect Joe Biden is raising the profile of science in his administration by elevating the role of presidential science advisor to a Cabinet position, naming the Broad Institute’s Eric Lander to the post, and nominating him as director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
Biden also announced that NIH Director Francis Collins will continue in the role, extending his 11-year tenure, already the second-longest serving NIH director in the post-War era. ...
