CEO, new support announced for $1 billion AMR Action Fund

The AMR Action Fund named Henry Skinner CEO and announced $140 million in support from philanthropies and the European Commission to supplement the $1 billion previously pledged by 23 biopharmaceutical companies.
The fund, announced in July 2020, plans to provide financing for biotechs to advance 15 or 20 Phase II candidate drugs to combat antimicrobial resistance. Its goals include gaining approval for two to four new antibiotics by 2030...
