Andy Slavitt has stepped down as senior adviser to the Biden administration’s coronavirus pandemic response team; the special government employee position limits service time to 130 days. Slavitt, who announced his planned departure in mid-May, was formerly the acting chief of Medicare and Medicaid under the Obama administration.
