Mallik resigns as CEO from Rafael

Oncology company Rafael Holdings Inc. (NYSE:RFL) is revamping its management team following a clinical trial miss in October that decimated its stock by 73%. Ameet Mallik resigned as CEO, and chief commercial and business officer William Conkling was removed by the board. Both had a short tenure, with Mallik becoming CEO on May 1, and Conklin taking his role in March. Board chairman Howard Jonas was named CEO effective Feb. 1, 2022, and CFO Patrick Fabbio will add to his brief the role of president. Jonas is a telecom entrepreneur whose family’s affiliates hold a controlling stake in Rafael.
