Biotech companies join financiers in Ukraine letter signers

Biopharma industry members continue to sign on to a letter pledging economic disengagement from Russia. As of Friday morning, the letter supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and condemning the Russian invasion had grown to 741 signatures from about 150 early this week. The majority, 448 people, listed an affiliation with a biopharma company. The bulk of the remainder, 193, were from VCs, asset managers or other financiers.

Most organizations were represented by one to three senior managers or board members. RA Capital LP — whose Peter Kolchinsky was one of the organizers of the letter — had 76 signatories, nearly 40% of the financier total. ...
