Governments and philanthropies have pledged more than $1.5 billion to fund the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations over the next five years, putting it on a path to play a leading role in ending the COVID-19 pandemic and preparing the world for future pandemics.
The money raised so far is a down payment on the $3.5 billion replenishment CEPI is seeking to support next-generation coronavirus vaccines and implement a plan that seeks to slash the development time for emergency vaccine development to 100 days. ...
