Adaptimmune veteran Brewer now CSO

U.K.-based cancer immunotherapy company  Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc (NASDAQ:ADAP) hired Joanna Brewer as CSO, a newly created role. Brewer has served as SVP of allogenic research since 2019, having joined Adaptimmune in 2009. 

UCSF School of Pharmacy appointed Kathy Giacomini as dean. Giacomini, a pharmacogenomics expert, has been a UCSF professor since 2000.  UCSF said that she is one of the few pharmacy-trained elected members of the National Academy of Medicine.
