T cell aneuploidy after CRISPR TRAC editing; plus Poseida, Cellectis and more

A team led by Asaf Madi, Uri Ben-David and Adi Barzel  from Tel Aviv University showed in Nature Biotechnology that CRISPR/Cas9 editing of TCR chains and PD-1 in T cells led to aneuploidy and chromosomal truncation in a subset of cells, reducing proliferation and increasing cell death.

The researchers found loss of chromosome 14, which harbors the commonly edited TRAC locus, in up to 9% of the cells, and chromosome 14 gain in up to 1.4% of the cells. ...
