Schantz to oversee clinical trials at Bayer’s AskBio

Bayer AG (Xetra:BAYN) hired Doug Schantz as SVP of clinical operations of its subsidiary Asklepios BioPharmaceutical Inc. (AskBio) and Phil McNamara as VP of communications. Schantz was VP and head of clinical operations at Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc.; prior to that, he worked at AstraZeneca plc (LSE:AZN; NASDAQ:AZN). McNamara led global communications for the cardio-renal-metabolic franchise at Novartis AG (SIX:NOVN; NYSE:NVS).
