ARPA-H, a federal agency modelled on DARPA, has a $1 billion budget, an inaugural director, and is gearing up to announce its first projects in the first quarter of 2023.

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health’s work will revolve around project managers who will propose projects and budgets, be given a great deal of autonomy — and be expected to deliver results quickly.
