SVB’s Sabow to lead HSBC tech, healthcare business

David Sabow, Silicon Valley Bank’s former head of technology & healthcare, North America, is joining HSBC to lead its technology and healthcare business. More than 40 of his former SVB colleagues are joining him, including Katherine Andersen, who joins as head of life science and healthcare at HSBC Innovation; Sunita Patel; Melissa Stepanis; Peter Kidder; Bekah Hanlon; and Jonathan Norris, according to various LinkedIn posts. HSBC acquired SVB’s U.K. arm in March.
Stem cell company Century Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:IPSC) announced several management changes in the wake of the departure of CEO Lalo Flores. Flores, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, will be succeeded on an interim basis by CTO Greg Russotti. The company also promoted Michael Diem from CBO to CFO, and hired Hy Levitsky back as president of R&D. Levitsky first joined Century as president of R&D in May 2019; he left the company in January. ...
