Forbion to invest more in newcos, incubate them longer

Forbion is going bigger with its sixth venture fund, both in terms of overall stakes in portfolio companies and the amount of capital it can invest in newcos it plans to create, from what is the second-largest ever European life sciences fund. 

Forbion announced Wednesday that it had raised €1.35 billion ($1.5 billion) across two funds, with early-stage fund Forbion Ventures Fund VI raising €750 million and becoming Europe’s second-largest life sciences fund behind only the €1 billion LSP 7 fund raised in 2022 by LSP (now EQT Life Sciences).
