Azam named CEO at Inspirna

Usman “Oz” Azam was named CEO at Inspirna Inc., which is drugging oncology targets discovered using its microRNA-based target discovery platform. Azam was CEO at Empyrean Neuroscience Inc., and president and CEO at Tmunity Therapeutics Inc. He succeeds co-founder Masoud Tavazoie, who recently stepped down as CEO and director to be an adviser to the company.
Pediatric cancer company Day One Biopharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:DAWN) promoted co-founder Samuel Blackman from CMO to head of R&D, and hired Lauren Merendino as chief commercial officer (CCO) and Raphaël Rousseau as CMO.
