Two big deals led April’s follow-ons
11 biopharmas raised $968M in April. A fast start to May could rekindle momentum

Two companies — Vaxcyte Inc. (NASDAQ:PCVX) and Ideaya Biosciences (NASDAQ:IDYA) — raised 80% of the $968.4 million in biopharma follow-ons in April. The figure is half that raised by 13 companies in March, the year’s best month to date at $1.8 billion.
