Cayer joins Ashvattha as CFO

Dendrimer therapeutics company Ashvattha Therapeutics Inc. hired Paul Cayer as CFO and appointed Mahesh Karande to its board. Cayer was chief financial and business officer at Otonomy Inc.; Karande is president, CEO and a director of Omega Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:OMGA). 

Sernova Corp. (TSX-V:SVA; OTCQX:SEOVF) has abandoned its plans to replace Philip Toleikis as president and CEO following a review by its newly constituted board, which now includes Chair Brett Whalen, Steven Sangha and Bertram von Plettenberg, who were elected at an April AGM amid activist investor pressure. Executive Chair Frank Holler failed to win reelection at the AGM. Deborah Brown and Mohammad Azab are retiring from the board despite being reelected.
