Biogen taps former Genentech exec Grogan as head of research

After President and CEO Chris Viehbacher signaled that Biogen Inc. (NASDAQ:BIIB) will split its head of R&D role into two positions, the biotech has chosen Jane Grogan to be its EVP and head of research. Grogan, a longtime employee at the Genentech Inc. division of Roche (SIX:ROG; OTCQX:RHHBY), will report to Viehbacher, as does EVP and Head of Development Priya Singhal.
