Shields leaving BenevolentAI as CEO

BenevolentAI S.A (Euronext:BAI) said Joanna Shields is stepping down as CEO and board member to pursue other opportunities; she will continue to support the company and board as a strategic adviser. It’s the third C-suite move for BenevolentAI this month, following the hiring CFO Catherine Isted and Chief Revenue Officer Christina Busmalis. Chairman François Nader will assume the role of acting CEO, until a successor is announced.
Birge Berns was named interim CMO of Faron Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (LSE:FARN; HSE:FARON), a cancer therapeutics company, effective Sept. 22. Berns succeeds Marie-Louise Fjällskog, who will be nominated to the board in a non-executive role to support development of bexmarilimab.
