Magargee named CEO of Genentech

Ashley Magargee, who has been ad interim CEO of Genentech Inc. since Alexander Hardy left the company on Nov. 1, will become CEO on Jan. 1, 2024 and join the leadership team of parent company Roche (SIX:ROG; OTCQX:RHHBY). Magargee joined Genentech in 2004 and has since held senior management roles at both Genentech and Roche in lifecycle management, digital customer experience and market access as well as serving as general manager in Singapore. She was most recently head of Genentech’s commercial portfolio.
CEO Stéphane Bancel will take over responsibility for sales and marketing at Moderna Inc. (NASDAQ:MRNA) after Arpa Garay stepped down as chief commercial officer.
